Crown Associates

The Crown Associates program aims to develop a network of certified stewarsdhip leaders all across Europe. The main tool of this program is the Crown Associates Certification Training.

CROWN ASSOCIATES CERTIFICATION TRAINING

The Crown Associates Certification Training is designed to train and certify leaders in the area of stewardship. The program is used for two outcomes:

1. to provide churches with leaders that have been qualified by Crown to run the stewardship ministry in the local church and
2. to equip leaders in a nation who will be leaders in Crown’s national and international efforts.

Who is a potential Crown Associate?

This program is not designed for just anyone. There are a few leaders in every nation that carry a burden for their people and the current financial pressures they are facing as a result of wrong choices. In this program Crown targets the top leaders. It is specifically designed for people who desire to learn the foundations of stewardship so that they can serve others in various roles:

Coaches

Coaches may be career consultants, financial advisors, “money buddies” or anyone else involved in financial consulting.

* A coach is someone who walks alongside people and helps them with the process of setting up their finances right.
* A coach is not simply a financial advisor but someone who is interested in the whole person and helps with getting priorities and attitudes right.
* A coach is interested in developing long-term habits instead of seeing just short-term results.

Church Consultants

This category includes stewardship pastors, church finance officers (treasurers) or lay leaders who see their ministry to the church as helping people understand their roles as stewards in a Biblical perspective.

Small Group Leaders

These are people who are gifted and committed to lead others in small-group study with the aim of developing a mature understanding of stewardship and healthy habits.

Seminar/Workshop Teachers

There are some who are gifted as public speakers and their calling is to teach larger groups of people. These may include but are not limited to pastors.

Leaders of influence

There is a huge need for Christian governmental, professional and business leaders who have a deep and robust understanding of what it means to live as a steward in their respective spheres of influence. The need is for such people not only to teach others but also provide a positive example themselves.

What are the Future Results and Outcomes?

Results are the expected products of a given activity. By this definition, results are largely within our control. Outcomes, however, are a step further in the process. They are the effects of the results combined with the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the intended target audience.

Results

Here are some of the results we expect from our Crown Associates programme:

* Every medium-sized church (approx. 100 active members) in your nation should have 1-2 representatives complete the course and be certified to create a stewardship ministry within their local church.
* The formation of a City (national?) Team that will continue working to ensure that within all churches and spheres of influence there are certified leaders.
* Every staff member and critical volunteer for Crown would be certified through this program.

Outcomes

Here are some of the outcomes we expect from the Crown Associates programme:

* A strong commitment from all certified leaders to launch or refine a holistic stewardship ministry in their churches.
* Trained leaders teaching and influencing others within their congregations and spheres of influence so that gradually a wide-spread stewardship movement is born that changes the course of a church, community, city or nation.
* Crown leaders replicating themselves through this program, raising up the next generation of those who will speak truth into their cultures on the subject of money and possessions. In a sense, these leaders will become the Larry Burketts and Howard Daytons of their nations and generation.

The Crown Associates Certification Training consists of a two-day intensive group training session and ten weeks of individual follow-up study. During the ten weeks participants are required to read through Howard Dayton’s “Your Money Counts” book, as well as study through the course material.

The course manual contains Bible Study material on the following topics:

Week 1 – Money and Spirituality

Week 2 – Ownership, Sovereignty, and Provision

Week 3 – Developing a Theology of Work

Week 4 – Debt

Week 5 – Where to find good advice when you need it?

Week 6 – Lifestyle

Week 7 – Honesty

Week 8 – Giving

Week 9 – Investing

Week 10 – Eternity

In addition to the Bible Study material, the course contains various assignments and references to other helpful resources for further study. The Practical Application Workbook is an integral element of the course and contains many practical tools and exercises to help with applying the material.

Last but not least, participants are given access to a special Crown Associates website (www.crownassociates.eu), which contains many additional resources. New material is being added to that website every month to ensure the continuous growth and development of each Crown Associate.
